Job Title: Pool & Spa Technician

Summary

You will travel to residential and commercial locations to perform routine cleaning, water testing, chemical balancing, and mechanical repairs on swimming pools and hot tubs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Water Chemistry: Test and balance pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and sanitizer levels using digital or drop-test kits; add required chemicals
• Cleaning & Maintenance: Vacuum pool floors, skim surface debris, brush walls, empty skimmer baskets, and clean or backwash filters
• Repairs: Repair concrete, covers, skimmers, vacuums and pumps. replace filters, sand, valves, pipe and hoses
• Equipment Service: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, motors, heaters, filters, automated control systems, and plumbing lines
• Openings & Closings: Perform seasonal pool openings (spring) and winterizations (fall)
• Customer Service: Communicate clearly with clients regarding service performed, equipment needs, or repair recommendations
• Administrative: Maintain accurate chemical and service logs using company software or mobile apps and stock the company vehicle daily
• Work from service orders, verbal instructions and manuals to remove, repair and install pool equipment and pool systems. Instruct customer to operate pool equipment, maintain quality pool conditions or to explain pool services
• Perform other duties as requested of necessary to meet business conditions

• High School Graduate or general education degree (GED)
• Prior experience in pool maintenance, plumbing, or general mechanical repair is preferred, but we are willing to train the right motivated candidate
• Simple use of equipment and service manuals, where interpretation is required
• Ability to read and write the English language
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Good judgment to comply with pool service for repairs and maintenance involving the making of minor decisions

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

• Certified Pool Operatior (CPO) certification a plus
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Safety Sensitive position due to driving company vehicle and use of chemicals

• Occasionally lifting/moving heavy material
• Frequent mental and visual attention where the flow of work is intermittent, with some checking
• 40 Hour work-week (not guaranteed)
• Overtime in peak season
