Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Porter to join our culinary team. This dual-role position is essential in ensuring our kitchen operates smoothly by assisting in food preparation and maintaining cleanliness.

Essential Functions

Prep Cook Duties:

  • Assist with the preparation of ingredients and cooking of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food items are prepared in a timely manner to meet service needs.
  • Maintain proper food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and high-quality food service.

Dishwasher Duties:

  • Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment using appropriate methods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area.
  • Assist in cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment as needed.
  • Dispose of trash and recycling according to facility guidelines.
  • Ensure the kitchen complies with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Up-to-date Clark County health card.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude.

In addition, the ideal candidate will be or have:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred, but not required.

Physical Demands

Work Environment

This position operates in a restaurant setting. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls, and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.
