Porter (Multifamily Housing / Property Management)
Full-Time Porter – MDI Management
MDI Management is looking for a full-time Porter to join our team. This is a 40-hour per week position, Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM. You will focus on maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of multi-family properties, ensuring a welcoming and well-kept environment for residents and guests.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform daily walking inspections and clean the property grounds, removing litter, debris, and pet waste
- Maintain pools, exterior lighting, and golf carts, performing preventative upkeep as scheduled
- Assist with unit turns, property maintenance projects, landscaping, and minor repairs
- Operate power washers and other equipment to clean buildings, patios, and parking areas
- Maintain shops, garages, and storage areas in an organized and safe condition
- Report or correct safety hazards promptly
Safety & Hazards:
- Follow all company, local, state, and federal safety rules
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Be aware of hazards including chemicals (pool maintenance), pressure washers, sharp tools, uneven surfaces, insects, and debris
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and stretching
- Occasional climbing of ladders or elevated surfaces
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior experience in property maintenance, landscaping, or custodial work preferred
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record
- Strong work ethic and ability to complete tasks efficiently
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
