Description
We are looking for bright, energetic porters for our multiple affordable housing locations in the Bronx.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, laundry room, locker rooms and other work areas.
- Sweeps, scrubs, mops, waxes, and polishes floor s and stairways.
- Dusts furniture and equipment, vacuum carpets.
- Polishes metalwork, cleans tiles and saddles.
- Washes wall and woodwork.
- Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empties wastebaskets
- Clean vacant apartments as required
- Check compactor , remove full compactor garbage bags and put out for pick up per schedule. Sweep, mop and disinfect compactor room.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Replaces light bulbs.
- Clean garage, basement area and grounds
- Shovels snow and clears walkways in winter
- Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed
Details:
Pay Rate - $18.70/hr.
- 5am-2pm
- 6am-3pm
- 7am-4pm
- 8am-5pm
- 12pm-9pm
- 1pm-10pm
- 3pm-11pm
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
