International Division (InDi) develops Royal Canin across approximately 90 markets through a network of importers. This seven-month mission exists to ensure continuity and high-quality execution of the Portfolio & Activation agenda during a critical planning and delivery period. The mission holder will lead the PMR and local PMR process, secure priority activations and launches, and prepare the portfolio pipeline required to deliver the 2027 plan and build readiness for 2028. The role will also act as the key Portfolio interface with RGM and coordinate the business impact of any additional portfolio project arising during the mission.

What are we looking for?

  • 5+ years of experience in portfolio management, brand management, innovation, activation or integrated marketing.

  • Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field; equivalent relevant experience is also valued.

  • Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.

  • Experience in a local market, Regional role or importer/distributor model is a strong advantage.

  • Proven ability to lead portfolio reviews, innovation pipelines or S&OP+/PMR processes and translate Regional portfolio decisions into local business impact.

  • Strong launch and activation experience, from strategy and toolkit development through market execution.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with different timelines, stakeholders and levels of maturity.

  • Strong analytical skills and business judgment, with rigorous attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills in a complex, multicultural matrix environment.

  • Highly autonomous, pragmatic and action oriented, with the ability to become effective quickly in a time-bound mission.

What will be your key responsibilities?

1. Lead the PMR and local PMR process

• Own the central PMR as part of the S&OP+ cycle and coordinate local PMRs with Hubs, markets, Demand Planning and key functions.

• Build a clear portfolio and innovation fact base, combining business performance, forecasts, risks, opportunities and market inputs.

• Prepare decision-ready recommendations, materials and follow-ups for governance forums, ensuring actions and owners are clearly documented.

• Maintain a consolidated view of portfolio priorities, launch readiness, dependencies and critical issues across InDi.

2. Prepare and support the Calorie Conversion activation

• Finalize the activation approach, assets, toolkits and market guidance required for deployment in priority countries.

• Coordinate with Media, Digital, Scientific Communication, Hubs, importers and agency partners to ensure operational readiness.

• Support launch execution and early performance follow-up, capturing learnings and corrective actions.

3. Lead portfolio launch readiness and deployment

2027 launch support

• Support the Eukanuba MENA launch with the Hub, importers and Regional teams, adapting the launch package to local market realities.

• Support the implementation of the Clinical Alliance importer model, clarifying roles, ways of working and market execution requirements.

• Coordinate portfolio, registration, supply, commercial and activation readiness for both initiatives, escalating gaps and enabling on-time implementation.

2028 launch preparation

• Build one consolidated InDi readiness roadmap for the SOL revamp, ZEN and Vet Functional Complements launches.

• Define market prioritization and phasing, portfolio and claims requirements, registration and supply dependencies, activation needs and decision milestones.

• Align Regional and Global teams, RGM, Hubs and importers on deliverables, responsibilities and long lead-time actions.

• Prepare the launch packages, market toolkits and readiness trackers required for smooth execution in 2028.

4. Act as the Portfolio interface with RGM

• Serve as the central Portfolio point of contact with the RGM Demand team, ensuring early alignment on Regional and Global portfolio decisions.

• Translate new portfolio information into a clear InDi business-impact assessment covering markets, registrations, supply, financials, activation, resources and timing.

• Own the coordination and impact management of any additional portfolio project arising during the mission, recommending priorities, trade-offs and required actions.

5. Manage the seven-month mission roadmap

• Maintain one integrated roadmap covering milestones, decisions, risks, dependencies and stakeholder updates across all workstreams.

• Provide a structured handover of decisions, trackers, assets and outstanding actions at the end of the mission.
