We partner with the business to simplify complexity, modernise technology and create connected, customer-focused experiences - using cloud, data, automation and AI to make it easier for our people to do their jobs and deliver better outcomes for Victorian students and schools.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Portfolio Services Manager to establish and lead a contemporary portfolio management capability across Corporate Digital Services.
This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping what we invest in, how we prioritise our work and how we create value from our technology portfolio. You will provide insights, governance and discipline that enable senior leaders to make confident decisions about investment, capacity, risk and delivery.
You will lead the portfolio from demand through to delivery and benefits, creating a clear line of sight between strategic priorities, investment decisions and outcomes.
What you'll do
- Lead portfolio strategy, prioritisation and investment - ensure initiatives align with strategic and government priorities, available funding and organisational capacity.
- Drive portfolio governance and performance - provide executives with a clear, integrated view of delivery, financial performance, risks, dependencies and benefits.
- Lead demand and capacity management - establish a consistent approach to assessing, prioritising and sequencing new demand across the portfolio.
- Provide portfolio insight and assurance - turn complex information into clear advice, challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve value, delivery and outcomes.
What you'll bring
- Strategic and commercial thinking -you understand the bigger picture and can translate organisational priorities into investment and portfolio decisions.
- Influence and collaboration - you build trusted relationship, bring diverse stakeholders together and confidently challenge and influence at senior levels.
- Strong analytical and outcome focus - you can cut through complexity, identify what matters and turn data into clear insights, recommendations and actions.
Why join us?
This is more than a portfolio management role. You will help shape the future of corporate technology for one of Victoria's largest and most important organisations - creating the structures, insights and decisions that enable better technology investment and better experiences for the people who support Victorian students and schools.
If you want to make a genuine difference at enterprise scale, we'd love to hear from you.
