We are seeking a client-facing Portfolio Value Lead who brings structure, clarity, and business insight to the front end of the delivery lifecycle. This individual partners closely with client stakeholders to evaluate incoming requests, uncover the underlying business need, and ensure initiatives are aligned to strategic priorities before they enter delivery. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable facilitating executive conversations, conducting discovery, and translating complex business challenges into actionable opportunities.
Successful candidates typically come from consulting, product management, portfolio management, or senior business analysis backgrounds and have a proven ability to bridge business and technical teams. You are naturally curious, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and skilled at helping organizations make informed investment decisions based on value, impact, and strategic alignment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Reporting to our Delivery Operations Manager, as a Full-Time Specialist on our team, you will serve as the primary point of entry for business demand, guiding requests from initial intake through prioritization and delivery readiness. You will work directly with business leaders to assess objectives, define success measures, build lean business cases, and document requirements that provide clear direction for technical and delivery teams. Your ability to separate stated requests from underlying business needs will help ensure that investments are focused on the highest-value opportunities.
You will collaborate closely with Solution Engineers and delivery teams to ensure business intent, technical feasibility, and portfolio priorities remain aligned throughout the intake and planning process. By driving disciplined discovery, consistent prioritization, and effective stakeholder engagement, you will help clients maximize the value of their data, analytics, and technology investments while continuously strengthening portfolio governance and demand management practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in consulting, business analysis, product management, portfolio management, or related discipline
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate stakeholder discussions, gather requirements, and drive alignment across diverse audiences
- Experience developing business cases, value assessments, investment recommendations, and prioritization frameworks
- Strong understanding of demand management, intake processes, portfolio planning, and business process improvement
- Ability to define measurable business outcomes and success criteria for strategic initiatives
- Experience creating requirements documentation, process flows, user stories, or product requirement documents (PRDs)
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to effectively partner with both business and technical teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with data, analytics, business intelligence, or digital transformation initiatives
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments
- Exposure to Jira or similar work management platforms
- Experience with SAFe, PI Planning, Lean Portfolio Management, or comparable scaled Agile frameworks
- Prior client-facing consulting or advisory experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the primary intake and demand management lead for incoming business requests
- Facilitate discovery sessions to define business problems, objectives, requirements, and success measures
- Build lean business cases that support investment, prioritization, and funding decisions
- Evaluate requests based on strategic alignment, business value, effort, risk, and resource requirements
- Maintain a structured intake pipeline and ensure initiatives meet established entry criteria
- Create and maintain requirements documentation, including problem statements, scope definitions, and success metrics
- Partner with Solution Engineers to align business needs with technical approaches and delivery considerations
- Provide leadership teams with insights and recommendations that support portfolio investment decisions
- Coordinate the transition of approved initiatives into delivery and ensure teams receive complete business context
- Support portfolio planning, prioritization, and governance activities
- Identify opportunities to improve intake, prioritization, and demand management processes
- Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders on portfolio value realization and investment effectiveness
