POSTAL OPERATIONS SPECIALIST - DIRECT HIRE AUTHORITY

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the installation subject matter expert for DoD Official Postal Center (OPC) and Personnel Service Center (PSC) at CONUS locations.

Manages, administers, and implements requirements per DoD 4525.8M, Department of Defense Official Mail Manual, and DOD 4525.6-M, Department of Defense Postal Manual. Serves as the primary Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) responsible for the comprehensive administration, technical oversight, and quality assurance of the Official Mail Contract. Represents the Force Support Squadron with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Serves as Classified Control Officer and is the central accountability and control point for Classified Material received or dispatched by all service organizations. As Passport Agent, will review the application for proper completion, presentation of documentary evidence of birth in the United States or naturalization, and record the evidence submitted for proof of identity.
