What you'll do

• Administration and maintenance of PostgreSQL databases.
• Management of high-availability environments based on Patroni.
• Monitoring and optimization of database performance.
• Identification and implementation of efficiency and capacity improvements.
• Carrying out performance analysis and load testing.
• Fine tuning and optimization of different PostgreSQL instances.
• Incident resolution and specialized technical support.
• Collaboration with development, systems, and infrastructure teams.
• Participation in continuous improvement initiatives and technological evolution of data platforms.
• Preparation of technical documentation and operating procedures.

THE PROJECT

We are looking to hire a PostgreSQL Database Administrator for a stable project within a leading financial sector organization in a high-availability and operationally demanding technological environment.

The selected person will be responsible for the administration, optimization, and evolution of PostgreSQL environments, participating in initiatives to improve the performance, high availability, and efficiency of data platforms.

Additionally, they will collaborate with national and international technical teams, so the use of English will be habitual in meetings, documentation, and technical coordination.

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN THIS POSITION?

• Demonstrable experience as a PostgreSQL DBA.
• Experience administering PostgreSQL environments, ideally with Patroni.
• Solid knowledge of database performance, capacity, and optimization.
• Experience performing performance tests and efficiency analysis.
• Ability to perform advanced tuning of PostgreSQL instances.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Analytical, methodical profile oriented toward problem-solving.
• Level of fluent English (minimum C1), both spoken and written.
• Fluent level of Spanish.

ESPECIALLY VALUED

• Experience in high-availability architectures and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of automation and administration of complex environments.
• Experience in monitoring and observability of data platforms.
• Participation in database migration, consolidation, or modernization projects.
• Experience in regulated environments or those with high availability requirements.
• Additional knowledge of other database technologies.
