PostgreSQL Database Administrator

We are seeking a skilled PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our team in Karnataka. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PostgreSQL database administration, including multi-master setups and production support. This role is critical for ensuring the reliability and performance of our database systems, particularly in a 24x7 production environment. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high availability and performance. - Provide L2/L3 production support for PostgreSQL databases, troubleshooting issues as they arise. - Implement and manage PostgreSQL installations and configurations, including AWS Aurora PostgreSQL. - Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and performance. - Conduct regular database backups and recovery procedures to safeguard data integrity. - Monitor database performance and implement tuning measures as necessary. - Stay updated with the latest PostgreSQL features and best practices to enhance database management. Required Skills: - Strong expertise in PostgreSQL database administration and troubleshooting. - Experience with 24x7 production support and database performance tuning. - Familiarity with MySQL and Oracle DBA practices is a plus. - Knowledge of AWS Aurora PostgreSQL and cloud database management. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. - Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
