Office-based PostgreSQL developer role in Andheri East, Mumbai (12–9 PM shift, Mon–Fri) centered on MSSQL-to-PostgreSQL data migration, query tuning, and ETL/ELT pipelines for high-volume data, using SQL/PL/pgSQL, Snowflake, and Python with Pandas. Targets candidates with 4–9 years of experience.

Job Summary
We are looking for a PostgreSQL Developer with strong experience in database development, SQL, data migration, ETL/ELT pipelines, and Python automation. The candidate should be able to work on high-volume databases, optimize queries, and support end-to-end data migration and integration projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop PostgreSQL databases, tables, views, indexes, and database objects.
- Perform MSSQL/SQL Server to PostgreSQL data migration with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions/UDFs, and triggers.
- Implement data validation, business rules, and transaction integrity.
- Perform query tuning and database performance optimization.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines for high-volume data.
- Work with Snowflake, including external stages, storage integrations, COPY INTO, and Snowpipe.
- Develop Python scripts using Pandas and database connectors for data extraction, transformation, file staging, validation, and reconciliation.
- Perform source-to-target data validation and reconciliation during migration.
- Troubleshoot database, SQL, migration, and pipeline issues.
- Work with application developers, data engineers, DevOps, and other technical teams.
- Maintain technical documentation for database development, migration, and integration processes.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/pgSQL.
- Experience in MSSQL to PostgreSQL migration.
- Experience with Stored Procedures, Functions/UDFs, Triggers, Views, and Indexes.
- Good understanding of database performance tuning and query optimization.
- Experience with ETL/ELT and data integration.
- Good understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and data integrity.
- Ability to work with large-volume data and production databases.

- PostgreSQL backup and restore.
- Replication, WAL, HA/DR.
- pg_dump and pg_restore.
- Git, CI/CD, Docker, or DevOps exposure.
