Power BI Developer
Summary
Builds and maintains interactive Power BI dashboards and optimized data models (DAX, Power Query) for business reporting, integrating with Dynamics 365 CRM/F&O, Dataverse, SQL Server, and Azure SQL; handles RLS, scheduled refreshes, performance tuning, and deployments across Dev/UAT/Production.
I. Key Responsibilities
1.Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
2.Develop optimized data models, relationships, calculated columns, and measures using DAX.
3.Extract, transform, and load data using Power Query (M).
4.Integrate Power BI with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Finance & Operations (F&O).
5. Work with Microsoft Dataverse, SQL Server, Azure SQL, and other data sources.
6.Optimize report performance by improving DAX, SQL queries, and data models.
7. Develop business reports, KPIs, and analytical dashboards based on business requirements.
8.Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage workspace access.
9. Optimize report performance, data refresh, and dataset efficiency.
10.Configure scheduled refreshes and troubleshoot data connectivity issues.
11.Collaborate with business analysts, functional consultants, and technical teams.
12.Deploy reports across Development, UAT, and Production environments.
13.Provide production support and maintain technical documentation.
II. Mandatory Technical Skills
- Strong experience in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX and Power Query (M).
- Strong SQL knowledge, including queries, joins, and stored procedures.
- Experience in data modeling, star schema, and dimensional modeling.
- Hands-on experience integrating Power BI with Dynamics 365.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse and Common Data Model.
- Experience with REST APIs and data integration.
- Knowledge of Power BI Gateway, scheduled refresh, and RLS.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
III.Preferred Skills
- Experience with Dynamics 365 CRM / Customer Engagement or Finance & Operations.
- Knowledge of Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, or Azure Data Lake.
- Knowledge of Power BI embedded analytics in Dynamics 365.
- Experience with Power BI deployment pipelines and Azure DevOps.
- Microsoft PL-300 or relevant Power Platform certifications.
IV.Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
