Power BI Developer / BI Specialist

ASIS – Advanced Solutions for Information Systems is looking for a Power BI Developer / BI Specialist to join our team in Cairo.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop interactive dashboards and management reports using Microsoft Power BI.
* Connect Power BI to SQL Server databases and other data sources.
* Develop data models, relationships, KPIs, and calculated measures.
* Write and optimize DAX calculations.
* Use Power Query (M) for data extraction, transformation, and cleansing.
* Write and optimize SQL queries, views, and stored procedures required for reporting.
* Build executive and operational dashboards for HR, Attendance, Payroll, Finance, Projects, Support and other business areas.
* Configure scheduled refresh, Power BI Service, workspaces, gateways and access permissions.
* Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) where required.
* Troubleshoot data, performance, refresh and reporting issues.
* Work with business and technical teams to understand reporting requirements and convert them into meaningful dashboards.
* Validate report accuracy against source systems before publishing.
* Prepare technical documentation for dashboards, datasets and data sources.
Requirements
Required Skills
* Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.
* Strong SQL Server / T-SQL knowledge.
* Strong knowledge of DAX and Power Query.
* Good understanding of data modeling and relational databases.
* Experience with Power BI Service, Gateway, scheduled refresh and security.
* Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into KPIs and dashboards.
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and communicate with different departments.
Preferred
* Experience with ERP, HR, Payroll, Attendance or enterprise systems.
* Experience building Executive / Management Dashboards.
* Knowledge of ETL and Data Warehouse concepts.
* Experience handling large datasets and optimizing Power BI performance.
