Power BI Developer

Salary: $110,000

This is a great opportunity to contribute to a New Zealand Crown entity to support a significant programme of business intelligence and reporting work.

The organisation is currently transitioning its reporting environment from Qlik to Power BI, creating a substantial programme of work across report migration, redevelopment and new reporting delivery.

This opportunity will suit someone who can enter an established environment, quickly understand the landscape and contribute from day one.

The Role is Working as part of an established BI team, you will be responsible for developing high-quality Power BI reporting solutions while supporting the wider migration efforts.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and delivering Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Supporting the migration and redevelopment of existing Qlik reporting into Power BI.
• Working through an established backlog of reporting requirements.
• Connecting Power BI to large-scale enterprise datasets and data platforms.
• Developing efficient, scalable and maintainable reporting solutions.
• Using Power Query extensively for data preparation and transformation.
• Developing and maintaining complex DAX measures and calculations.
• Working with Power BI parameters and configuration.
• Supporting deployment, source control and version-control processes, including GitHub.
• Collaborating closely with BI team members and stakeholders across the wider organisation.

You will also bring:

• Strong commercial Power BI development experience.
• Approximately 3+ years of relevant Power BI or BI development experience.
• Strong DAX capability.
• Good experience with Power Query.
• experience with enterprise scale data environments
• An understanding of Power BI parameters, configuration and deployment.
• Experience with source and version control, ideally using GitHub.
• Experience delivering reporting solutions across complex organisational environments.
