Power Bi Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Power BI Developer / SQL Developer with 2-4 years of experience in developing business intelligence, reporting, and data analytics solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Power BI, SQL/T-SQL, data modeling, dashboard development, and data visualization, with the ability to transform raw data into meaningful business insights.

The role involves developing interactive dashboards and reports, writing and optimizing SQL queries, integrating data from multiple sources, and supporting ETL processes. Exposure to Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Python/PySpark, and modern data warehousing concepts will be an added advantage.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, KPI scorecards, and analytical solutions.
• Write and optimize SQL/T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, joins, CTEs, and database objects required for reporting.
• Build effective data models using dimensional modeling and Star Schema concepts.
• Develop Power BI solutions using Power Query, DAX, relationships, filters, and interactive visualizations.
• Extract, transform, and integrate data from multiple structured data sources for reporting and analytics.
• Support ETL/data integration processes using SQL and preferably Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and follow appropriate report access and data-governance practices.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization across reports and SQL queries.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into effective dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions.
• Collaborate with business users, data engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable reporting solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow development best practices, including basic Git/version control and CI/CD processes.

Role

Ideal Candidate

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development, SQL development, BI reporting, or data analytics.
• Strong knowledge of Power BI, SQL, T-SQL, DAX, Power Query, and Data Modeling.
• Experience creating interactive dashboards and reports for areas such as Sales, Inventory, Finance, and Operations.
• Good understanding of ETL, Data Warehousing, Dimensional Modeling, and Star Schema concepts.
• Exposure to Azure Data Factory and Azure-based data platforms is preferred.
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Python, PySpark, Pandas, or KQL would be an advantage.
• Understanding of RLS, data security, report performance optimization, and data quality.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently on assigned development tasks while collaborating effectively within a data and analytics team.
