Power Platform & Power BI Developer

Experience: 2-3 Years

Job Type: Full-Time

Role Overview

We are looking for a Power Platform & Power BI Developer with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in developing business solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.

The ideal candidate should have worked on 23 end-to-end implementation assignments, where they have been involved in understanding business requirements, designing solutions, developing applications/reports, integrating data sources, testing, deployment and post-go-live support.

The candidate should have a strong interest in building low-code/no-code business applications and data-driven reporting solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain business applications using Microsoft Power Apps, primarily Canvas Apps and/or Model-Driven Apps.
• Design and develop interactive and user-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into Power Platform solutions.
• Develop Power Automate flows for workflow automation, notifications, approvals and business process automation.
• Work with Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, Excel, SQL Server and other data sources.
• Perform data modelling, transformation and preparation for Power BI reporting.
• Develop Power BI datasets, relationships, calculated columns and DAX measures.
• Configure Power BI reports, dashboards, filters, drill-throughs, bookmarks and other visualization features.
• Integrate Power Apps with Power BI and other Microsoft services wherever required.
• Develop solutions involving integration between Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and business applications.
• Participate in requirement gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment and support activities.
• Troubleshoot application, workflow, data and reporting issues.
• Follow best practices for application development, security, performance and maintainability.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams/clients.

Required Technical Skills

Power Apps

• Hands-on experience with Canvas Apps and/or Model-Driven Apps.
• Experience with Power Apps controls, forms, galleries, collections, variables and formulas.
• Good understanding of Power Fx.
• Experience working with Dataverse and/or SharePoint as data sources.
• Understanding of application security and permissions.

Power Automate

• Hands-on experience creating cloud flows.
• Experience with approvals, notifications, scheduled flows and automated business processes.
• Experience working with connectors such as SharePoint, Dataverse, Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.
• Understanding of error handling and flow troubleshooting.

Power BI

• Hands-on experience developing end-to-end Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Good knowledge of Power Query and data transformation.
• Good understanding of data modelling and relationships.
• Working knowledge of DAX.
• Experience with different visualization techniques and interactive dashboards.
• Understanding of Power BI workspaces, publishing and basic deployment concepts.
• Exposure to Power BI Service is preferred.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations / Business Central / Sales / CRM.
• Experience with Microsoft Dataverse.
• Exposure to Copilot Studio / AI Agents.
• Basic understanding of Azure services or Azure integration.
• Experience working with APIs and third-party systems.
• Understanding of Power Platform ALM, solutions and environment management.
• Knowledge of Power BI deployment pipelines and governance.
• Microsoft Power Platform certifications such as PL-100, PL-200, PL-300 will be an advantage.
