Power BI & SSAS Specialist/ Data Platform Engineer (over $35K)
Description
Salary: $35,000 – $48,000 per month
Key Responsibilities:Gather reporting and analytics requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
Design, develop, and maintain analytical models, data warehouses, and reporting platforms using Oracle, PostgreSQL, SSAS, and PBIRS.
Work with stakeholders, including business users, architects, security teams, and platform teams, to ensure successful project delivery.
Support enhancements, system changes, and BI platform improvements.
Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
Participate in data migration projects, including Oracle to PostgreSQL migration.
Design and maintain dimensional data models (Star Schema and Snowflake Schema).
Implement and manage security controls, authentication, and access management for BI solutions.
Establish and maintain CI/CD processes, version control, and deployment procedures.
Monitor and optimize BI platform performance, including SSAS models and Power BI reports.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide technical support.
Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational procedures.
Ensure BI solutions meet security, compliance, and operational standards.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or related disciplines.
Minimum 5 years of IT experience, with at least 2 years in Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, or Data Migration projects.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle or SQL Server database development.
Strong SQL skills, including Stored Procedures, SQL DDL/DML, Oracle PL/SQL, and PostgreSQL.
Experience in Oracle to PostgreSQL database migration.
Experience in designing Star Schema and Snowflake Schema data models.
Hands-on experience with Power BI, SSAS, PBIRS, and enterprise reporting solutions.
Experience integrating JSON API services with Power BI reports..
Experience in SSAS model deployment, version control, and environment management.
Experience with Python, Java Spring Boot, Docker, or OpenShift (OCP).
Experience in Power BI data model migration to SSAS.
Knowledge of BI server monitoring and performance management.
Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
