POWER PLANT OPERATOR CREW SUPERVISOR

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: As a working Power Plant Operator Crew Supervisor, you will provide technical supervision over all operations and maintenance of the power plant, switchyard, transformer banks, water control structures, and related project facilities, while prioritizing work for the crew.

Plan, coordinate, and oversee all power generation and maintenance activities, establishing long-range goals and reviewing contracts for technical soundness.

Direct a crew of power plant operators, assign tasks, defining quality and quantity standards, and adjusting work plans as needed to optimize efficiency and control costs.

Enforce strict compliance with all safety policies, including HECP and EM 385-1-1, by overseeing job hazard analyses and managing equipment clearances for maintenance.

Provide comprehensive instruction to advance crew technical skills and ensure apprentices complete all required on-the-job training as part of the Hydro Power Plant Training Program (HPPTP).

Author, update, and manage all technical documents, including Station Standing Orders, clearance procedures, and functional drawings to support integrated plant operations.

Perform all supervisory administrative duties, including approving leave, conducting performance appraisals, making hiring recommendations, and adjudicating grievances.
