Power Platform & BI Specialist

We are looking for a Data & Automation Specialist to support the development and improvement of internal reporting, analytics and business process solutions.

The role will focus on turning business needs into practical digital solutions by combining data visualization, workflow automation and Microsoft 365 technologies. The specialist will work across different business areas, helping teams simplify manual processes, improve access to information and build reliable reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting, data and process improvement needs.

  • Design and deliver dashboards and analytical solutions supporting operational and management decision-making.

  • Build and maintain automated business processes, including approvals, notifications, data transfers and recurring activities.

  • Develop lightweight business applications supporting internal workflows and data collection.

  • Combine information from multiple systems and prepare it for reporting and further analysis.

  • Improve the quality, consistency and usability of existing datasets and reports.

  • Maintain and enhance solutions built within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

  • Configure access and security rules for reporting and collaboration solutions.

  • Troubleshoot data, automation and integration issues and implement appropriate improvements.

  • Support integrations between collaboration tools, reporting platforms and external data sources.

  • Develop scripts or utilities to automate repetitive data and file-processing activities when required.

  • Document implemented solutions and provide guidance to their users.

  • Continuously identify opportunities to replace manual activities with more efficient digital processes.

Technical Background

The role requires strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, data modelling, DAX, Power Query and performance optimisation.

Practical experience with the Microsoft Power Platform is also essential, particularly Power Automate and Power Apps, with the ability to design workflows, business logic and integrations.

Candidates should be comfortable working with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 services, including lists, document libraries, permissions and structured content.

Experience in the following areas will also be important:

  • SQL and working with structured datasets

  • data transformation and preparation

  • ETL / ELT concepts

  • data validation and quality checks

  • APIs and system integrations

  • Microsoft Graph API or similar integration interfaces

  • scripting with PowerShell or Python

  • Excel and CSV data processing

  • enterprise reporting and data extraction tools

Exposure to platforms such as ServiceNow or Snowflake will be an advantage.
