Power Platform Engineer- Newly created role
Summary
The Power Platform Engineer will design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse. The role involves integrating these solutions with Azure services and third-party systems while driving platform governance and performance monitoring.
A leading independent not for profit organisation based in Sydney CBD is seeking a Power Platform Developer to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role.
The role is based in Sydney CBD and is 3 days a week in the office.
The Power Platform Developer is responsible for the design, development and implementation of enterprise-grade solutions that combine the power of Power Apps with the capabilities of AI.
The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Azure integrations, APIM, and Power Pages customization.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, configure, administer and provide ongoing support across Power Platform using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, SharePoint, Azure Logic App
- Design and configure Dataverse tables, relationships, security roles, and business rules
- Build and deploy Azure Functions (HTTP triggers, Timer triggers, Service Bus triggers) for application logic and automation
- Integrating Power Platform solutions with third-party systems, Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365 services
- Driving governance, best practice and capability uplift across the platform
- Monitor platform usage and performance, and build dashboards to track adoption, app/flow activity, connector usage, capacity consumption, errors, and governance/compliance metrics
- Partner with business stakeholders to support their automation needs and drive effective use of the Power Platform
Key Skills / Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in automation or lowcode- development
- Strong hands-on experience across Microsoft Power Platform- Power apps, automate and BI
- Very strong power apps- building complex apps
- Building security framework
- Security governance
- Azure function apps and logic apps
- API dev
- Setting up custom rules on the app using javascript
- Exposure administering Microsoft Power Platform environments
- Experience with AI Builder, Copilot Studio, or Azure OpenAI- desirable
- Power Automate cloud flows (automated, instant, scheduled)
- Power Platform integration (Power Apps, Dataverse, Power BI)
- Strong customer engagement experience / Consulting experience desirable
