Power System Engineer Transmission and Distribution

You will maintain power-system models and budgets, perform electrical studies, establish relay settings and arc-flash labels, develop standard study cases, support commissioning, and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Memphis campus power-system model
• Create and maintain power budgets, monitoring, and metering
• Perform electrical power-system analysis and update as-built models
• Develop interconnection studies, relay settings, arc-flash labels, and battery-storage sizing
• Develop standardized study cases
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, NESC, and IEEE standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or another engineering discipline
• 3+ years of power-systems design, analysis, and studies experience focused on high-power, high-voltage systems
• Willingness to work on-site in Memphis, Tennessee
• Availability for extended hours, weekends, and 24/7 emergency on-call support
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Valid driver's license
