This is an exciting opportunity to build and shape our Finance and FP&A reporting capability, turning complex operational and financial data into trusted insights that inform smarter decisions across the organisation.
What you'll be doing:
You'll sit at the intersection of Finance, Data and Technology, helping TLC move from manual reporting processes to automated, scalable and insightful business intelligence solutions.
Reporting & Business Intelligence
Design, build and maintain engaging Power BI dashboards and reports focused on Finance and FP&A reporting.
Transform data from Microsoft Dataverse, Cosmos DB and other enterprise systems into trusted, reporting-ready datasets.
Create high-quality semantic models, dimensional data structures and DAX calculations that support business decision-making.
Use Power Query, SQL and the Microsoft data ecosystem to cleanse, transform and combine data from multiple sources.
Translate business requirements into meaningful reports, KPIs and analytical insights.
Develop reporting across revenue, profitability, budgets, forecasts, costs, client performance, variance analysis and management reporting.
Data Quality & Continuous Improvement
Ensure reporting outputs accurately reconcile back to source systems and can be trusted by stakeholders.
Investigate and resolve data quality issues in partnership with Finance, Data and Technology teams.
Optimise Power BI models and reports for performance, usability and scalability.
Apply consistent KPI definitions, governance standards and appropriate security controls.
Document datasets, business rules, calculations and reporting logic.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to automate and streamline reporting processes.
Partnering With The Business
Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, Data, Technology and commercial teams across the organisation.
Build strong stakeholder relationships and become a trusted advisor for reporting and analytics.
Present insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Who we're looking for:
Essential Experience
Strong commercial experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
Advanced skills in Power Query, DAX and Power BI data modelling.
Strong SQL skills and the ability to investigate, validate and transform data independently.
Experience working with Microsoft Dataverse, Dynamics 365 data or similarly complex operational datasets.
Experience building reporting solutions that require substantial data preparation and transformation.
Strong understanding of data modelling principles including star schemas, facts, dimensions and relationship design.
Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into scalable reporting solutions.
Confidence working with financial data and partnering with Finance stakeholders.
Understanding of FP&A and financial reporting concepts including budgets, forecasts, actuals, profitability analysis, variance reporting and management reporting.
Nice To Have
Experience with Azure Cosmos DB, Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL or SQL Server.
Experience with Power BI Service administration, deployment pipelines or Dataflows.
Experience with Fabric Lakehouse, Warehousing or modern Microsoft data platforms.
Experience with source control, structured BI deployment practices or CI/CD.
Exposure to budgeting, planning or FP&A systems.
At TLC, attitude is just as important as capability. We're looking for someone who is:
Curious about the story behind the data, not just the dashboard.
Analytical, methodical and passionate about accuracy.
Comfortable challenging assumptions and asking great questions.
A strong communicator who can simplify complex concepts.
Collaborative and relationship-focused.
Continuously looking for smarter, faster and more scalable ways of working.
Excited by the opportunity to build something rather than simply maintain it.
Being a people-led business, we hire upon values and believe that our people are what make the beloved TLC culture so unique.
At TLC we aim to create a ‘world within the world’ that is free from prejudice, bias and inequity.
A world where diversity is valued and celebrated, and where we work hard to ensure all our wonderful people are given equal opportunity to succeed.
