Description

PPC Account Manager

Remote | Ideally Northern Ireland based
Full-time | Permanent

Whytematter are delighted to be working with a growing specialist ecommerce business to recruit an experienced PPC Account Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves performance marketing but wants to work within a broader ecommerce environment, where the focus isn't simply on clicks and traffic -it's about helping clients achieve genuine commercial growth.

One of the biggest attractions of this role is the flexibility. The team operates remotely, so you'll have the freedom to work from home while remaining part of a collaborative and close-knit team. Ideally, you'll be based in Northern Ireland to allow for occasional team and client meetings.

The Role

You'll take ownership of paid advertising activity across a portfolio of ecommerce clients, managing campaigns from strategy and planning through to optimisation, reporting and ongoing growth.

You'll work closely with clients and the wider ecommerce team, using performance data to identify opportunities and ensure advertising activity is delivering against wider commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimise PPC campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads

  • Manage paid social campaigns, particularly Meta Ads

  • Develop paid media strategies aligned with client growth and revenue objectives

  • Manage campaign budgets and continually optimise performance

  • Keyword research, audience development and competitor analysis

  • Create, test and optimise campaigns, ad copy, audiences and creative approaches

  • Monitor ROAS, CPA, conversion rates and other key ecommerce metrics

  • Analyse campaign and website performance to identify growth opportunities

  • Produce clear, commercially focused client reports

  • Present results, recommendations and strategies directly to clients

  • Work alongside ecommerce, content, creative and technical specialists

  • Keep up to date with platform developments, automation, AI and emerging performance-marketing opportunities

What We're Looking For

You'll ideally have previous experience within PPC, paid media or performance marketing, either agency-side or within an ecommerce environment.

You'll be comfortable managing multiple campaigns/accounts and confident communicating directly with clients.

Experience across the following would be particularly valuable:

  • Google Ads

  • Google Shopping / Performance Max

  • Microsoft Ads

  • Meta Ads

  • Google Analytics / GA4

  • Google Merchant Centre

  • Ecommerce tracking and attribution

  • Campaign reporting and analysis

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who understands the commercial side of ecommerce. You'll naturally look beyond impressions and clicks and think about customer acquisition, conversion, revenue, profitability and sustainable growth.

Why Consider This Role?

This is an opportunity to join a growing, specialist ecommerce team working with an exciting portfolio of established and growing consumer brands across the UK and Ireland.

You'll benefit from:

  • Remote-first working

  • Genuine flexibility and autonomy

  • A close-knit, experienced team

  • Direct exposure to clients and senior decision-makers

  • Varied ecommerce brands and sectors

  • The opportunity to influence strategy rather than simply execute campaigns

  • Exposure to the wider ecommerce journey including CRO, CRM/email, Shopify, ecommerce strategy and commercial performance

  • The chance to develop into a broader ecommerce/performance specialist as the business continues to grow

Although the position is remote, we would ideally like someone based in Northern Ireland so they can attend occasional meetings and team get-togethers when required.
