Practical Nurse (Allergy & Immunization)

About the Position: This position is located at 42nd Medical Group - Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Review all available immunization records to determine the requirements for immunizations.

Administer vaccines in accordance with appropriate agency, military, federal, and state regulations, international requirements, or as prescribed by the physician.

Stabilize patient’s vital signs by placing them in the most therapeutic position and location.

Research and stay informed of special medications including biologic medications, allergen extracts, bronchodilators, anti-inflammatory and other immunomodulator therapies.

Instruct patients in allergen avoidance, effective environmental control measures, asthma self-care, proper use of peak flow meters, prior administration of specialty medications.

Train new personnel, as well as current personnel who require additional training with immunotherapy shots and immunizations.
