PRACTICAL NURSE (FAMILY MEDICINE)

About the Position: Serves as a Licensed Practical Nurse performing direct patient care and care coordination activities for Family Medicine Clinic. Permanent Change of Station (PCS) expenses and Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) are authorized. Relocation or Recruitment Incentives MAY be authorized for highly qualified candidates. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Obtains information from patient and/or family/guardians/caretakers to identify major complaints, symptoms, or reason for seeking health care. Documents patients' chief complaints and other pertinent information in the health record.

Takes all vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, pain level, height, weight, measurement of head circumference, and length).

Performs behavioral health screening.

Administers oral, intradermal, subcutaneous, intramuscular immunizations to all age groups IAW established protocols.

Informs and educates patients and/or family regarding self-care procedures.
