We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Veterinary Practice Manager to lead and oversee the operations of Berkeley Heights Animal Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our hospital, providing exceptional client service, and fostering a positive work environment for our team members. Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Staff Management:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to a team of veterinary professionals, support staff, and administrative personnel.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff members, ensuring a skilled and motivated team.
- Business Operations and Financial Management:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance the clinic's operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and revenue growth.
- Monitor and manage the clinic's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Oversee inventory management, procurement, and vendor relationships.
- Client Service and Satisfaction:
- Ensure exceptional client experiences by maintaining high standards of customer service, communication, and professionalism.
- Address client concerns and feedback promptly and effectively, striving for continuous improvement in client satisfaction.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations, industry standards, and best practices to uphold the highest quality of care and safety.
- Implement and maintain protocols for patient care, medical records, and administrative procedures.
- Marketing and Business Development:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies to attract new clients, retain existing clients, and enhance the clinic's reputation.
- Identify opportunities for business growth, such as expanding services, partnerships, and community outreach.
- Facility and Resource Management:
- Oversee the maintenance and organization of the clinic's physical facilities, equipment, and supplies.
- Coordinate with IT support for technology systems, software, and hardware maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Veterinary Management, or related field. MBA or CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager) certification is a plus.
- 2-5 years of veterinary hospital management experience.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management and client interaction.
- Business acumen, including financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Proficiency in using practice management software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
- Passion for animal welfare and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and client service.
- Ability to lift 40lbs unassisted.
Benefits:
Salary: $70,000-$80,000 an hour, to commensurate with experience.
