Pre-Health Coordinator
Summary
Coordinate and advise students on pre-health career pathways, partnerships, and readiness activities for medical, nursing, and allied health programs.
Assist in recruiting students into the various undergraduate pre-health tracks (toward Medical School, Physician Assistant programs, Nursing, Public Health, Dentistry, etc.) and associated programs
- Coordinate partnership programs, connect with partnering institutions to maintain relationships
- Develop/refine pathway guides and advise students on their activities for health career readiness
- Plan, develop, and coordinate workshops in the areas of a. career path awareness (MD, PA, Nursing, Public Health, Dentistry) and preparation (internships, shadowing, courses, test prep, professional development, interviewing) b. networking to include local mentor pairing (local practitioners meet periodically w/ students) and alumni networking (MDs, PAs, nurses) educational outreach and community involvement
