Pre-K Counts Teacher
Pay: Starting at $48,000/year (10-month position) | Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00 or 7:30-4:30 | No nights, weekends, or holiday work
Magic Memories Norristown is hiring a certified Lead Teacher for our Pre-K Counts classroom, a state-funded, free pre-K program serving 3-5-year-olds. You'll lead your classroom with an assistant teacher!!

Required
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- PA Instructional I (or higher) teaching certificate in Early Childhood / PK-4
- At least 2 years of experience working with young children
- PA clearances (Child Abuse, State Police, FBI) [or willingness to obtain before start]
Preferred
- Experience in a Pre-K Counts or Keystone STARS program
As a Pre-K Counts Teacher, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of the children in your care, creating a supportive and educational environment, and upholding the core values of Magic Memories. You will have the opportunity to strengthen the overall culture of the center and to be a role model for our staff, families, and local community.
Pre-K Counts Teacher Responsibilities:
- Ensure the health, safety, and supervision of children at all times
- Maintain classroom ratios and supervision standards
- Support a positive and nurturing classroom environment
- Assist with planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities
- Lead activities such as storytime, centers, music, and play-based learning
- Encourage children to follow classroom rules and routines
- Monitor children's development and progress
- Communicate professionally with parents and leadership
- Uphold Magic Memories policies, procedures, and core values
No weekend or evening hours!
