Healthy Kids Programs is seeking Pre-Kindergarten Teachers for three (3) classrooms at Beekman Elementary School, Poughquag, NY.
Location: Beekman Elementary School, Poughquag, NY
Pay: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 2:15 PM, following the Arlington Central School District 2025–2026 calendar

Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 3–12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you work. This role provides four-year-olds with a high-quality early learning experience that builds a strong foundation for Kindergarten. The ideal candidate is creative, culturally responsive, and passionate about early childhood development, with experience in early literacy, multi-disciplinary approaches, and strategies for diverse learners.
This position emphasizes child-centered learning, literacy and numeracy development, social-emotional growth, and collaboration with colleagues and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate Pre-K program aligned with UPK School District requirements
- Design and teach culturally responsive lessons
- Assess, track, and provide timely feedback on student progress and development
- Use positive, age-appropriate guidance strategies
- Build strong relationships with staff and families through professional communication and engagement
- Collaborate with teacher assistants and other team members
- Design classroom environments following ECERS (Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale)
- Develop literacy and math-focused activities using the Creative Curriculum
- Participate in professional development and program evaluation
