Pre-Sales Engineer
You will serve as a hands-on technical architect and bridge engineering teams with customers’ IT, system administration, database, engineering, and DevOps stakeholders. You will define requirements, develop solution roadmaps, improve system architecture, design features, deploy and integrate solutions, provide technical services, resolve client issues, support customer adoption, and maintain customer documentation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver technology services throughout the product offering lifecycle, including deployments, configurations, knowledge transfer, upgrades, maintenance, and deprecation
- Lead the planning, installation, and integration of solutions in physical, virtual, and hybrid IT environments
- Deliver hands-on professional services, including product customization, integration, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Maintain customer relationships to increase adoption, retention, and satisfaction
- Establish trusted customer relationships as a strategic advisor
- Continuously improve product offerings based on customer needs and requirements
- Advocate customer needs and issues
- Ensure knowledge transfer on all product aspects to partners and customers
- Resolve client issues with engineering and drive post-sales customer satisfaction
- Organize and improve technical and user documentation for customers
Requirements
- Have 8+ years of hands-on technical product-integration experience in complex environments
- Have experience as a Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager, or equivalent role
- Have experience with corporate IT environments and frameworks, including virtualization, VDI, backup, and application management
- Have experience with DevOps build and testing processes, release management, and product lifecycle management
- Know Linux, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, Python, YAML, and Shell
- Deploy and integrate simple and complex solutions into existing production environments
- Have database management and SQL experience
- Have software development experience, preferably in Go, Java, or Python
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally
- Travel regularly to visit customers
