Precision Machining Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
- Support machining processes and manufacturing methods for complex precision components.
- Interpret mechanical drawings for fabrication and machining work, including the selection and preparation of standard parts and components.
- Develop and maintain Process Management Plans, Process Route Cards, and Job Travellers.
- Review process yields, production rates, and manufacturing performance, and recommend improvements.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manufacturing costs, improve process capability, increase production efficiency, and maintain high quality standards.
- Lead and coordinate corrective and preventive action activities to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Participate in manufacturing reviews, production transitions, New Product Introduction (NPI), and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and improve manufacturing standard work and processes.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Precision Machining, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Good knowledge of machining processes such as milling, turning, lathe, grinding, and sheet metal operations.
- Familiarity with metal fabrication processes, including welding, sheet metal fabrication, and surface treatment, will be an advantage.
- Proficient in manufacturing/design software such as SolidWorks, Mastercam, or HyperMill.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn new software applications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly in manufacturing processes.
- Good working attitude with a disciplined, systematic, and hands-on approach.
- Able to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
