Job Description
We are recruiting a graphic designer to support our pre-construction and bid activities. This role is ideal for a candidate who is self-motivated, creative with a keen eye for aesthetics, is customer-focused and demonstrates an ability to solve problems.
Key Requirements
Core Skill Set
The ability to work as part of a team delivering high-quality, visually engaging bid submissions
Intermediate to advanced level Adobe CS3 - Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
Sets the standard in terms of presentation
Experience
1-2 years’ experience within a professional graphic design environment, ideally with some exposure to construction, engineering, infrastructure, or professional services sectors
Experience producing professional presentations, proposals, or other corporate design materials is highly desirable
Education
Bachelor’s degree level education equivalent to EQF Level 6 preferred in graphic design, however other educational backgrounds will be considered
As a member of the bid team, you will be required to have an open and adaptable approach to developing solutions, together with excellent communication and collaboration skills. We need people who can distil complex engineering concepts into precise, attractive documentation with our customers in mind. You will be a key member of the bid team, shaping winning responses.
The role will be based in our Copenhagen Office in Hoje Taastrup 2630, working within bid management, in the preconstruction department, supporting projects across the European region.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Preconstruction Manager, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing the proposal structure and technical content, with responsibilities outlined, but not limited to the below:
Develop and finalise high quality bid responses to meet the deadlines of the bid
The ability to work as part of a team and extract accurate, high-quality information from all bid stakeholders leading to the production of a comprehensive bid response is essential
Ensuring consistency of approach across the bid team, updating templates in line with the latest company guidelines and producing new approaches based on varying client base
Comply with proposals development process, bid management standard operating procedure and programme defined by the bid lead
Produce presentations and information for team members to use and present to clients, using PowerPoint
Develop a suite of best practice case studies, standard sections for submissions, key events etc
Attend all workshops and meetings as requested by the bid lead
Collaborate with section owners to develop summary documentation including reviewing relevant images, figures, graphics etc.
Assist when needed with the production of presentations and other written material, internal team handovers and all supporting documentation, ensuring a cohesive and consistent approach
Integrate review comments into the developing responses
Finalise bid submissions by the programme deadlines
Contribute to the development of case studies and documents associated with work winning in collaboration with the wider preconstruction business unit.
Complete project, framework, or business/function case studies as requested. This may require site visits and visits to other offices
Assist other offices, completing bids when workload in region allows
Understanding what Collen offers

Other duties
Complete work for other ad hoc requests to support the region, as agreed with line manager
Contribute to any post bid lessons learnt exercises
Other requirements
Strong written and spoken English communication skills
Danish, Swedish, Finnish or other European language is beneficial
Right to work in Denmark preferred. Support with permit application process will be provided
Periodic travel will be required throughout Europe
