Job Description
We are recruiting a Preconstruction Planner to support our bid and early delivery functions. You will work within a high-performing preconstruction team, contributing to programmes on large-scale data centres, pharma facilities, power infrastructure, public works, and complex commercial projects.
Key Requirements
Core Skill Set
The ability to work as part of a team and extracting accurate, high-quality information from all bid stakeholders leading to the production of a comprehensive bid programme
Appreciation of clients and their associated client drivers is beneficial
Ability to lead collaborative planning workshops, with internal and external stakeholders.
Solid grasp of construction phasing, access, resourcing, or commissioning logic
Able to interpret drawings, method statements, or tender documents logically
Experience
Knowledge of major construction projects, architectural and engineering drawings and document processes
2-5 years planning experience working on large scale construction projects
Proficient in the use of Primavera P6 and Asta Powerproject software
Education
Bachelor’s degree level education equivalent to EQF Level 6 preferred, however other educational backgrounds will be considered
As a member of the bid team, you will be required to have an open and adaptable approach to developing solutions, together with excellent communication and collaboration skills. We need people who can distil complex engineering concepts into a fully integrated construction sequence with our customers goals in mind. You will be a key member of the bid team, shaping winning responses. You will organise and facilitate collaborative planning workshops with key team members.
The role will be based in our Copenhagen Office in Høje Taastrup 2630, working within bid management, in the preconstruction department, supporting projects across the European region.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Preconstruction Manager, the Preconstruction Planner will be responsible for developing preconstruction programmes, with responsibilities outlined, but not limited to the below:
Develop the tender and preconstruction programmes alongside the bid leader and key operational and commercial staff resulting in a fully integrated programme
Translate drawings, design briefs, logistics constraints, and procurement requirements into a workable solution
Work with technical leads and operational stakeholders to reflect real buildability, verifying benchmark output assumptions
Support the creation of phasing strategies and graphics, enabling works scopes, commissioning allowances and critical paths
Maintain planning logs, programme assumptions, and risk notes
Contribute to structured programme narratives for bid submissions
Support and work with the 4D Planner to create visualisations to support our bids
Engage with specialist contractors and design partners to gather technical input
Validate durations using first principles, historic benchmarks, and feedback from delivery teams.
Comply with the standard operating procedure for Planning, produce documentation and handovers as required
Other duties
Compile bid benchmarking data for production rates for supply chain members
Contribute to any post bid lessons learnt exercises
Other requirements
Strong written and spoken English communication skills
Danish, Swedish, Finnish or other European language is beneficial
Right to work in Denmark preferred. Support with permit application process will be provided
Periodic travel will be required throughout Europe
