Prep Cook - Atlanta Police and Fire Academy

Proof of the Pudding (POP) is the food service provider for the Atlanta Police and Fire Academy. We are seeking Prep Cook to assist in the daily food service preparations, clean up and service flips, and help the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in daily duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Setting up and sanitizing workstations.
• Following prep lists created by Executive Chef
• Ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible.
• Assisting chefs in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise.
• Distributing plates to wait staff to be served, cleaning plates for dishwashing, and preparing takeaway packages for customers.
• Supervising food and cooling room temperatures.
• Accepting or rejecting ingredients from suppliers.
• Maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitized kitchen.
• Read thoroughly and understand the daily menus and recipes
