Prepares customer artwork for commercial printing by preflighting files, optimizing graphics, and generating press-ready PDFs using Adobe Creative Cloud and Fujifilm XMF Workflow.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Prepress Technician to join our commercial printing operation. If you have a strong background in commercial print production, enjoy solving technical challenges, and take pride in producing high-quality work, we'd like to hear from you.
The ideal candidate will have experience preparing customer files for offset and digital printing, proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, and a strong understanding of commercial printing workflows.
Responsibilities
- Preflight and prepare customer artwork for print production.
- Verify files for proper page size, bleeds, trim, image resolution, fonts, color spaces, and print specifications.
- Correct and optimize files to meet production requirements.
- Create press-ready PDF files.
- Create impositions for commercial printing jobs.
- Process jobs through Fujifilm XMF Workflow.
- Produce digital proofs for customer approval.
- Work closely with customer service, sales, and pressroom personnel to ensure accurate job production.
- Troubleshoot file and production issues to maintain quality and production schedules.
- Maintain organized electronic job files and documentation.
- Consistently meet production deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
