Presales Consultant (IT Infrastructure, Network & Cybersecurity)

Position Summary


The Presales Consultant is responsible for designing, proposing, and presenting end-to-end technology solutions involving IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and electronic security systems. The role acts as the technical lead during the sales cycle, working closely with customers, sales teams, engineering teams, and technology partners to develop secure, scalable, and compliant solutions that meet business and operational requirements.


The candidate should possess strong knowledge of enterprise systems, network infrastructure, cybersecurity technologies, and integrated security platforms such as Access Control Systems (ACS), Video Management Systems (VMS), CCTV, Intercom Systems, Analytics Platforms, and Security Command Centres.


Key Responsibilities

1.Presales & Solution Consulting

  • Engage customers to understand operational, business, and technical requirements.
  • Conduct technical workshops, requirements gathering, and solution discussions.
  • Develop solution architectures, technical proposals, scope of work, and bill of materials.
  • Prepare tender responses, RFP/RFQ submissions, and technical compliance matrices.
  • Present solution designs, value propositions, and demonstrations to customers.
  • Conduct Proof-of-Concept (POC) activities and technical evaluations.

    2. IT Infrastructure Solutioning

  • Design and size server, storage, virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Architect high-availability and resilient infrastructure environments.
  • Recommend cloud, hybrid-cloud, and on-premise deployment models.
  • Ensure solution scalability, performance, and maintainability.

    3. Network & Security Architecture

  • Design enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, data centre, and security network architectures.
  • Develop secure network segmentation and connectivity strategies.
  • Recommend and integrate cybersecurity solutions such as: Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, PAM, IAM/Active Directory, Endpoint Security, WAF, VPN and Encryption Technologies
  • Ensure cybersecurity compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

    4. Electronic Security Systems Integration

  • Design and integrate: Video Management Systems (VMS), Access Control Systems (ACS), CCTV Systems, Intercom Systems, Security Management Platforms, Command & Control Systems, Analytics and AI-enabled, Security Solutions, Body-Worn Camera Solutions
  • Ensure interoperability between security systems and enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Design centralized monitoring and management platforms with role-based access controls and audit capabilities.

    5. Bid & Tender Support

  • Support business development and account teams in pre-sales engagements.
  • Develop technical proposals and pricing assumptions.
  • Participate in customer presentations, clarifications, and tender interviews.
  • Provide technical risk assessments and mitigation recommendations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and technology partners for solution validation.

    6. Project Transition & Technical Governance

  • Provide technical handover to project delivery teams.
  • Support implementation planning and acceptance testing.
  • Review design compliance, cybersecurity requirements, and operational readiness.
  • Ensure documentation quality and technical governance standards are maintained.
