Presales Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Pre-Sales Engineer who can effectively handle key business lines: Data & AI and Software Development. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to understand customer needs and design innovative solutions.

1. Responsibilities

· Understand and document the customer’s situation and requirements, identified business needs and business processes.

· Understand the customer’s existing technical environment and its implications for proposed solutions.

· Define the scope of work and stakeholders’ responsibilities for implementing solutions.

· Present and explain solutions to customers, responding to technical inquiries.

· Design solution architectures, technical specifications and features, and detailed technical proposals, selecting preferred partners and implementation approaches, that satisfy the defined solution vision.

· Act as trusted advisor and provide technical advice to the sales team and customer stakeholders.

· Prepare and demonstrate Proof-of-Concepts and Live demos.

· Design winning solutions and prepare proposals for proactive opportunities and responses to RFPs, RFIs, and expressions of interest.

· Collaborate with internal business units and the PMO to verify solution designs, size implementation efforts, estimate costs, and define project plans.

· Keep up to date with new technologies and trends in Data & AI and Software Development.

Requirements

Knowledge:

· Deep understanding of Data & AI technologies, including machine learning, data analytics, and data science tools.

· Deep understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum), programming languages, and software development life cycles.

· Deep knowledge of system integration methodologies and techniques.

· Deep understanding of modern trends and technologies in software development and delivery.

· Knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies.

· Knowledge of public, private, and hybrid cloud technologies, services, and delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

· Good knowledge of business analysis practices, techniques, and tools.

· Good understanding of business process modeling methodologies and tools.

· Basic understanding of infrastructure applications (databases, web servers, authentication servers, messaging servers, etc.).

· Basic understanding of networking fundamentals and information security technologies.

· Up-to-date knowledge of the existing competition in the local and regional markets for Data & AI and Software Development.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· 3-5 years’ proven experience as a pre-sales engineer with a focus on Data & AI and Software Development solutions.

· Excellent ability to elicit customer requirements, conduct sizing exercises, and propose appropriate solutions (both technically and financially) from the company’s.

· Excellent solution architecture and design skills in both domains.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent documentation skills with a proven ability to produce high-quality presentable documents.

· Excellent written, verbal communication, and negotiation skills, with a special emphasis on effectively communicating with high-level executives and decision-makers.

· Ability to employ a consultative approach when communicating with customers and achieve the status of a trusted advisor.

· Excellent presentation skills.

· Good project management skills.

· Effective relationship building skills.

· Ability to participate in a fast-paced delivery cycle and deal with rapid change.

· Ability to juggle multiple complex initiatives.

· Fluency in English and Arabic languages.
