Preschool Aide

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Preschool Aide provides assistance to the Preschool Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher in implementing preschool programs. The incumbent assists with carrying out the preschool mission and values by providing high quality preschool services to children and parents that focus on the YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:

1. Assists with the implementation of daily curriculum within the established guidelines.
2. Assists in supervising the children, classroom and all activities.
3. Contributes to activity preparation, clean up and room maintenance.
4. Maintains the preschool room and equipment.
5. Attends and participates in program activities, staff meetings and staff trainings.

6. Follow all YMCA policy and procedures including Child Abuse Prevention.
