Preservation Manager
Camarine is recruiting an experienced Preservation Manager on behalf of a leading offshore engineering and construction project in the Middle East. This role will be based in UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project-specific preservation strategies, procedures, and execution plans.
- Lead preservation activities across offshore platforms, fabrication yards, modules, and onshore facilities.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, OEM recommendations, project requirements, and industry standards.
- Establish and maintain equipment preservation registers and tracking systems.
- Coordinate preservation requirements with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC, Logistics, and Commissioning teams.
- Manage preservation activities for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and packaged equipment.
- Review vendor documentation and ensure preservation requirements are incorporated throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor preservation status, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions to address gaps and non-conformities.
- Supervise and mentor Preservation Engineers, Supervisors, and Technicians across multiple project locations.
- Ensure the proper storage, handling, corrosion protection, and maintenance of critical equipment.
- Support Mechanical Completion, Pre-Commissioning, and Commissioning teams to ensure startup readiness.
- Prepare periodic preservation reports, KPIs, and management updates for project and client stakeholders.
- Identify preservation-related risks and implement mitigation measures to safeguard equipment integrity.
- Interface with clients, vendors, third-party inspectors, and operations teams during audits and handover activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance preservation effectiveness and project performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline.
- 15+ years of Oil & Gas/EPC experience, including offshore, fabrication yard, and onshore projects.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing preservation activities.
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical Completion, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, and Startup processes.
- Experience with EPC/EPCIC projects
