Presser
- Operating equipment that shapes garments and removes wrinkles.
- As a laundry presser, you run a laundry press that uses various chemicals or steam to remove wrinkles and shape clients ‘and staff clothing.
- Responsible include ensuring that the settings on the press are accurate so you do not damage the garments.
- Adjusts temperature of iron, according to fabric type, and uses covering cloths to prevent scorching or sheen on delicate fabrics.
- Other duties require you to manage the equipment to ensure chemicals and moldings are producing wrinkle-free and appropriately-shaped garments.
- Work with other staff to prepare clothes for pick-up by placing them on hangers or folding them.
- Attend any training courses given by Housekeeping/Human Resources Department
- To make sure all Health and Safety matters are observed
- Any other work deemed necessary by the Head of Department
- High School diploma, vocational training and/or 1 year work experience
- Fluency in ***local language*** essential
- Basic understanding of the English language desirable
- Ability to lift/carry requirements up to 25 lbs.
- Previous experience in luxury hotel desirable
