PREVENTION AND EDUCATION SPECIALIST (FAP)
Summary
Provide education and training on domestic abuse prevention, child abuse awareness, and healthy relationships to military families and commanders at a Navy base.
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer.
You will provide instruction to small and large groups on issues including prevention and awareness of domestic abuse, child abuse, and problematic sexual behaviors in children and youth.
You will conduct educational workshops for Service Members and their families on issues including stress management, anger management, and healthy relationships.
You will conduct training for commanders and senior enlisted personnel on requirements and procedures for reporting options, resources available to support families at risk, and their roles in the coordinated community response.
You will provide outreach activities and events to promote community awareness of issues including Domestic Violence, Child Abuse, and Teen Dating Violence.
You will provide education to raise awareness of the support offered by the Navy’s Family Advocacy Program.
