Prevention Family Specialist (5017)

We are looking for caring and passionate Prevention Family Specialists for our Home Run program in Niagara County and Stepping Stones Program in Erie County.

What does a Prevention Family Specialist do?

The Prevention Family Specialist goal is to preserve the family unit by providing supportive casework counseling in the home and empower parents with tools and resources to ensure children's safety, well-being and permanency while providing advocacy to ensure quality services.

What is the Home Run Program?

A school-based prevention program designed to avert out-of-home placements of at-risk children due to school-related issues and difficulties with family functioning.

What is the Stepping Stones Program?

An alternative to detention program which offers intensive crisis intervention. The program’s goal is to reduce the county’s need to place youth into detention facilities.
