Preventive Maintenance Manager
A leading global manufacturing company is looking for a Preventive Maintenance Manager. This role is responsible for leading the overall performance of the preventive maintenance team and plant maintenance strategies to achieve continuous and reliable operations in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan, organize, and lead plant maintenance strategies covering corrective, preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability.
- Direct day-to-day operations and activities of mechanical planners, electrical instrumentation & automation (EIA) planners, condition monitoring engineers, reliability engineers, and lubrication teams.
- Lead reliability analyses including Risk-Based Maintenance, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Equipment Criticality Analysis (ABC rating), and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
- Oversee condition monitoring and lubrication programs using advanced predictive tools like vibration analysis, oil analysis, and wear measurement systems.
- Formulate and manage annual preventive maintenance budgets, short- and long-term master schedules, replacement strategies, and optimal critical spare parts inventory levels in SAP.
- Coordinate closely with corrective maintenance teams (Mechanical and EIA) to ensure effective execution of planned work orders and maintenance shutdowns.
- Manage third-party contractors and oversee implementation of plant improvement and CAPEX projects.
- Enforce strict compliance with occupational health and safety standards, environmental regulations, corporate guidelines, and IT security directives across all maintenance activities.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and career development for direct reports while performing Line HR functions and managing team performance against defined KPIs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics & Communications Engineering; professional engineering license is required.
- At least 7 years of experience in preventive maintenance within a heavy industrial or manufacturing plant setting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/leadership capacity.
- Expertise in proactive maintenance methodologies, including condition monitoring, lubrication principles, FMEA, and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
- Strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation systems, and hydraulics/pneumatics troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience in planning and scheduling using SAP-PM and maintenance management software.
- Demonstrated expertise in high-level industrial safety management, risk assessment, and contractor oversight.
- Strong leadership, people management, analytical, and maintenance budgeting skills.
