Pricing Analyst

Summary

Analyze market data and competitor pricing to recommend optimal sales prices for industrial equipment parts, collaborating with managers to drive profit growth.

As a Pricing Analyst, you will drive data-driven pricing strategies across assigned markets and categories to maximize sales and profit growth. Operating as a crucial bridge between data and business action, you will collaborate directly with Market Managers and Category Managers to translate complex analytics into competitive, real-world pricing structures.

Your Roles & Responsibilities

Strategy & Revenue Optimization

  • Strategic Alignment: Co-develop, expand, and optimize market and category pricing strategies in close alignment with Market and Category Managers.

  • Pricing Action Plans: Translate high-level strategy into concrete pricing actions, ensuring competitive and accurate market positioning in line with company profit goals.

  • Proposals & Validation: Calculate and propose optimized sales prices and commercial terms for complex, high-revenue products or client accounts.

Market Analysis & Reporting

  • Market Research: Monitor and analyze competitor prices, market trends, and shifting procurement conditions to maintain an up-to-date view of the trade and sales landscapes.

  • Actionable Insights: Build and interpret pricing and revenue reports. Rigorously track KPIs to proactively flag performance gaps and deliver end-to-end (E2E) strategic recommendations.

Systems, Models & Projects

  • Model & Algorithm Management: Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automated pricing models, business analysis tools, and pricing algorithms.

  • System Implementation: Execute calculated pricing structures cleanly within core systems, ensuring automated pricing tools align with real-world business needs.

  • Special Projects: Participate in and steer key pricing initiatives, including cross-functional business projects and M&A pricing integrations.

How to succeed / Your profile

  • You have a Master's degree in Economics (or equivalent through experience).

  • You have excellent communication, negotiation, and business judgement skills.

  • You have strong analytical skills with a structured, data-driven approach to problem-solving.

  • You have a hands-on mindset with the ability to work across functions and seniority levels.

  • You work independently and take initiative.

  • You are a communicative team player who is flexible and proactive.

  • You are based in Belgium or willing to relocate to Belgium.

  • You have excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
