Primary Investment Associate
You will support the sourcing, evaluation, analysis, and monitoring of private equity and venture capital investment opportunities. You will meet with General Partners, perform quantitative and industry analysis, prepare investment materials, support legal documentation, manage the deal pipeline, maintain market intelligence, conduct research, and coordinate client due diligence and requests.
Responsibilities
- Meet with General Partner groups to evaluate potential investment opportunities and monitor existing investments.
- Perform quantitative analysis, including portfolio valuation, comparable company analysis, value driver analysis, and performance attribution analysis.
- Prepare investment memoranda.
- Perform industry and sector analysis.
- Assist with legal negotiation and documentation.
- Manage the deal pipeline and related documentation.
- Develop and maintain proprietary deal and market intelligence.
- Coordinate due diligence information gathering and client support activities.
- Curate presentation materials, prepare RFPs and client questionnaires, and respond to ad hoc client requests.
- Conduct market research.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university; a Business, Finance, or Accounting background is preferred.
- Understanding of the private equity and venture capital industry.
- Analytical, modeling, organizational, and writing skills.
- Relationship and communication skills.
- Ability to manage projects from start to finish while handling competing deadlines.
