Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Primary One Teacher to join our dedicated team at Loozeele Excellence Academy, an integral part of the Loozeele Initiative. This role is pivotal in shaping the early educational foundation of children whose mothers are engaged in vocational training programs across the Upper East Region of Ghana. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports holistic development—cognitive, social, emotional, and physical—while aligning with our mission to empower communities through education and opportunity. The teacher will play a key role in ensuring that each child receives personalized attention and a strong start in their academic journey.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver age-appropriate, engaging, and structured lesson plans tailored to Primary One learners, promoting foundational literacy, numeracy, and life skills.
- Design and implement daily routines including circle time, story time, play-based learning, and rest periods to support child development and classroom management.
- Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and positive behavior.
- Monitor and document each child’s progress, providing timely feedback and updates to parents/guardians through regular communication and formal parent-teacher meetings.
- Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and program administrators to maintain consistency and alignment across school activities and initiatives.
- Uphold health and safety standards, including administering basic first aid and maintaining incident records as needed.
