Prime Mover Driver (Class 4/5)
Summary
Drives prime movers to transport containers and cargo across Singapore, handling loading, documentation, and vehicle maintenance while adhering to safety and traffic regulations.
Responsibilities
- Collect and deliver containers and loose cargo islandwide accurately and on time
- Check, tally and handle all cargoes carefully; report any discrepancy or damage immediately
- Verify and complete all documentation — delivery notes, pick-up orders and permits
- Endorse customs checkpoint permits where required
- Report to the traffic control team on job progress and any on-site issues
- Conduct daily vehicle checks; maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness
- Handle company assets and equipment responsibly at all times
- Adhere to traffic regulations and WSH requirements throughout
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- Valid Class 4 or 5 license with good driving record (fresh Class 4 is welcome)
- Prior prime mover experience; PSA/Jurong Port familiarity preferred
- Good communication skills and basic literacy for documentation
Able to work rotating shifts including early morning or night runs
