**Principal AI Research Engineer (LLM / TTS / ASR) – Core Team**

Wonders.ai is seeking an exceptional AI Research Engineer to advance our proprietary AI models powering darlin™ (www.darlin.ai), including our in-house LLMs and Kotodama voice technology.

This is a hands-on research leadership role working directly alongside the founder on model architecture, training, and innovation. We seek someone who can challenge technical decisions, independently solve complex problems, and continuously improve our existing technologies.

You should genuinely love anime, waifus, and AI characters, with a passion for authentic personalities, emotional expression, and natural interactions.

**Responsibilities**

1. **Model R&D:** Lead development, training, debugging, and optimization of proprietary LLM, TTS, ASR, and speech models.
2. **Advanced Training:** Implement Pretraining, Continued Pretraining, SFT, LoRA/PEFT, reinforcement learning, and distributed GPU training.
3. **Character Intelligence:** Improve reasoning, personality consistency, emotional responses, multilingual dialogue, and character behavior.
4. **Voice AI:** Advance Kotodama, emotional TTS, ASR, voice cloning, and low-latency speech generation.
5. **Data & Evaluation:** Build multilingual datasets, training pipelines, benchmarks, and automated model evaluation.
6. **Memory & Inference:** Improve RAG, long-term memory, quantization, KV caching, and cloud/on-device inference.
7. **Research Leadership:** Collaborate with the founder on architectures, experiments, technical decisions, and innovation.
8. **Team Leadership:** Guide 0–2 engineers, review implementations, establish standards, and own research outcomes.

**Requirements**

• Proven experience training and improving actual AI model weights, beyond API integration or prompting.
• Strong PyTorch, Transformers, Python, and GPU training expertise.
• Deep specialization in LLM or speech AI with cross-domain capabilities.
• Independent research, debugging, and production deployment experience.
• Genuine passion for anime characters and expressive AI.

7. **研究リーダーシップ：** 創業者とモデル構造、実験設計、技術方針を議論し、改善を推進。
8. **チーム指導：** 0〜2名の技術指導、コードレビュー、品質管理、研究成果の推進。
