The AI & Automation team, part of the Data Office within Global IT, is a key enabler of Novonesis' digital transformation agenda. We partner across the organization to identify, design, and scale intelligent automation and AI solutions that improve productivity, simplify processes, and enhance employee experiences.

We work closely with business stakeholders, architects, platform teams, and security specialists to develop enterprise-grade automation and AI solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI, and emerging technologies.

In this role you will make an impact…
As a Principal Copilot Studio Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of enterprise-grade Copilot and Agent solutions across multiple business domains.
You will act as a technical leader and trusted advisor, helping shape the organization's AI Agent architecture, governance model, and platform strategy. You will collaborate with architects, platform teams, business leaders, and security stakeholders to ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise objectives.
In addition to building solutions, you will mentor engineers, define standards, and drive the adoption of reusable patterns that accelerate delivery across the organization.

AI & Solution Architecture
• Lead the design and architecture of enterprise AI agents and copilots using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• Define scalable patterns for agent orchestration, enterprise knowledge access, automation, and integration.
• Design multi-agent and enterprise-grade AI solutions that support business-critical processes.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and determine their applicability within Novonesis.
Enterprise Integration & Platform Engineering
• Architect integrations between Copilot Studio and enterprise platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Dataverse, Microsoft 365, and Azure services.
• Define reusable APIs, connectors, integration patterns, and automation frameworks.
• Drive adoption of modern AI capabilities including MCP, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, knowledge retrieval, and enterprise search technologies.
Governance & Responsible AI
• Define and implement governance frameworks for Copilot Studio and AI Agents.
• Partner with Security, Compliance, Architecture teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise standards.
• Establish guidelines for responsible AI, security, access management, data protection, risk management, and operational monitoring.
Technical Leadership
• Act as technical lead for complex AI initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and citizen developers on best practices, architecture, and engineering excellence.
• Lead technical reviews, architecture discussions, and design decisions.
• Contribute to capability building and AI enablement activities across the organization.
Platform Adoption & Continuous Improvement
• Define engineering standards, reusable assets, accelerators, and delivery frameworks.
• Drive platform adoption across multiple business functions.
• Identify opportunities to improve scalability, maintainability, observability, and overall user experience.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and bring innovative AI capabilities into the organization.

We expect you to bring…
Experience & Education
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, AI, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, automation, enterprise solution development, or AI platforms.
• 3+ years of experience delivering enterprise AI, Power Platform, or Copilot Studio solutions.
Technical Expertise
• Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Power Automate, and enterprise AI solutions.
• Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, Agentic AI, MCP, prompt engineering, and AI orchestration patterns.
• Experience designing scalable AI architectures and enterprise-grade AI platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, and cloud-native architectures.
• Extensive experience integrating enterprise applications through APIs, custom connectors, webhooks, event-driven architecture, and middleware platforms.
• Strong understanding of enterprise identity, security, networking, access control, and governance principles.
Leadership & Collaboration
• Proven ability to lead technical workstreams and influence architecture decisions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business objectives into technical solutions and roadmaps.
• Experience coaching and mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practices.
• Ability to work across global teams and navigate complex enterprise environments.
Preferred
• Experience defining Copilot Studio governance and operating models.
• Experience enabling citizen development programs and AI adoption initiatives.
• Experience with SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, and large-scale enterprise environments.
• Experience establishing AI engineering standards, reusable frameworks, and platform operating models.
