The Opportunity
Amboy Street Ventures is building the leading early-stage venture platform exclusively focused on women's health. We invest across the healthcare stack—spanning therapeutics and life sciences through technology-enabled, consumer, and care-delivery platforms—with a business-model-agnostic approach.
We are seeking a Principal trained at a top-tier healthcare venture capital fund to join as a core member of the team and help build Amboy Street over the long term.

Role Mandate
This Principal will focus on therapeutics, diagnostics, and medical devices and is responsible for driving strategy, sourcing, and execution in this critical area.
You will have exposure to the full spectrum of healthcare business models and support deals in digital health, care delivery, and consumer.
For the right candidate, this role is intended to progress to Partner, based on performance, judgment, and cultural fit and the needs of Amboy Street.

Core Responsibilities
Venture Investing & Execution
- Source and evaluate early-stage venture investment opportunities across healthcare
- Lead full-cycle venture diligence: scientific, clinical, and regulatory assessment; market sizing and unmet-need validation; exit analysis; competitive dynamics and durability of advantage; business-model analysis
- Author IC-ready investment memos and defend recommendations under rigorous debate
- Partner with senior leadership on deal structuring, pricing, and syndicate construction
Portfolio Leadership
- Act as a strategic partner to founders on clinical and regulatory strategy
- Advise on go-to-market, pricing, and scaling strategy
- Support venture fundraising and investor positioning
- Participate in board and board-observer roles
- Support follow-on investment decisions and portfolio strategy
Platform & Firm Building
- Help shape Amboy Street's long-term venture strategy and portfolio construction
- Contribute to thematic research and external thought leadership
- Expand the firm's network across founders, scientists, clinicians, operators, and co-investors
- Mentor junior investors and help set the firm's internal investment bar
- Engage selectively with institutional LPs and represent the firm externally
